Daycare and Why It Is Important
Last Friday the 3rd we completed our first official week of Doggie Daycare. All of our staff had a blast getting to oversee and play with the dogs that participated in our group play. The dogs had a good time as well, with many burning so much energy that by the end of the day they were ready to return to their kennels for the evening, have dinner and have good nights rest.

If you still don’t know if doggie daycare is right for your fur baby, there are great benefits to it. Dog group play provides essential physical exercise, mental stimulation, and socialization, helping to burn energy, reduce destructive behavior, and build confidence in a controlled environment. It fosters better manners, improves social skills, and boosts emotional well-being by allowing natural interactions, reducing anxiety, and decreasing stress.
- Physical Exercise: Group play encourages high-intensity activity like running, chasing, and wrestling, which helps maintain a healthy weight, strengthens joints, and reduces the risk of obesity
- .

- Mental Stimulation: Interacting with different personalities and navigating playtime challenges keeps dogs mentally alert and focused, reducing boredom-related behaviors such as excessive barking or chewing
- .

- Socialization and Confidence: Regular interaction with other dogs helps them become more adaptable, confident, and comfortable in various social situations, reducing fear-based behaviors.
- Behavioral Improvement: Supervised play helps dogs learn appropriate social cues, such as respecting personal space, taking turns, and polite communication.
- Reduced Anxiety and Stress: For dogs, especially in shelter settings, group play provides a natural outlet to lower stress, improve emotional well-being, and feel happier.
- Better Manners: Dogs often learn to listen to commands even in high-stimulation environments, improving their training and obedience in public.
